“We were just two broken souls trying to fix one another…Somehow I ended up with a piece of you and you me.”
My royal biscuit was given to me by a private school on 27 April 2011. The wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton took place on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, United Kingdom.
Both, me and my VIP friend, spent the same day watching the wedding on the TV.
And because my biscuit was broken, he decided to glue the broken pieces…Without the pieces there can be no whole and without the whole the pieces have no place.
Everyone has that moment I think, the moment when something so momentous happens that it rips your very being into small pieces. And then you have to stop. For a long time, you gather your pieces. And it takes such a very long time, not to fit them back together…
Sometimes I wonder if we ever truly let anyone completely in. The desire for another human being to know you, all of you, all the pieces, even the ones you’re ashamed of — is huge. But too often, we sit down and sort through the pieces only picking out the pretty ones, leaving the ugly ones behind, not realizing that choosing not to share with someone else…
If you (only you) read this, I would be happy to tell me how to glues both pieces again…so that ‘pieces’ are not the end of what was, but the beginning of what is to be.
