My Cayenne Pepper Tea

hot winter tea

Cayenne is a spicy tasting herb that is orange or red. People sprinkle it onto their food and incorporate it into recipes to add some heat and flavor to dishes. Cayenne also has healing properties, and herbalists have been using it for years to build immunity, fight off colds, soothe ulcers, and help detoxify the body. Recently, a weight loss diet called “The Master Cleanse” has used a cayenne pepper tea to flush the body of toxins and promote weight loss. Make a cayenne pepper tea with water, lemon, a generous helping of cayenne, and any additional ingredients that will help you achieve your health goals.

When You Are Old

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,

And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

And slowly read, and dream of the soft look

Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,

And loved your beauty with love false or true,

But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,

And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,

Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled

And paced upon the mountains overhead

And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

To…..A. Pushkin

To. . .

I recall the wondrous chance:
there before me I saw you
such a brief and a passing glance,
such beauty, brilliant and true.

In the clutches of hopeless despair,
in the worries of life’s hurried storm,
for long I heard a voice so fair
and dreamt of a lovely form.

Years passed. A rebellious tempest’s blare.
scattered all former dreams.
And I forgot your voice so fair,
Your form born of heavenly schemes.

In solitude, in gloomy desolation.
Quietly my days dragged along,
without God and without inspiration,
without tears, without life, without love.

To my soul came an urge to dance:
and there again I saw you…
Such a brief and a passing glance,
such beauty, brilliant and true.

And my heart beat in adulation.
And to it came the rebirth of
God, and divine inspiration
And life, and tears, and love.

To the Sober

That World Can Be Very Extreme…

To the Sober

True love, it’s like an illness. I never understood it before. In books and plays. Poems. I never understood what drove otherwise intelligent, right-thinking people to do such extravagant, irrational things. Now I do. It’s an illness. You can catch it when you least expect. There’s no known cure. And sometimes, in its most extreme, it’s fatal.
Kate Morton

If you think about the question: Suppose there were an entire subpopulation of extreme geniuses, well beyond anything that would occur naturally. What would that really look like?

1. They are always interested in benefiting the group.

2. They do not judge others.

3. They do not speak for the sake of speaking.

4. They in lots of cases rely on something called intuition.

5. They do not let their emotions run a muck.

6. They strive to be objective.

7. They know that everyone, including themselves, can be wrong sometimes.

8. They do not often worry about fitting in with the crowd.

9. They do not seek validation.

10. They are people of action, they use more than just words.

11. They always think things through.

12. They do not limit themselves to one way of thinking.

Do I have to stop right now? If you do these things then it is likely you are extremely intelligent. You take everything into consideration before opening your mouth and are one of those people everyone goes to for help. You are much more productive than …

To the Sober

Translated by me, Bulgarian to English translation

When love disappeared,
the pain and sadness is back and all is clear.
When the day’s gone,
the night swims around me
like a black swan.
When he decides to go
“Does he do it slow?”
Yes, you were watching your love dying.
Yes, you were unlimitedly crying.
You’ll feel guilty that you’re still breathing.
But you can’t stop.
Yes, your heart is still bleeding.
Is it a tear or a raindrop?
The dream was here, waiting
to disappear in the depths or sing.
The past beats inside me like a second heart.
To welcome the next fresh start.
Was this love… Acceptance,
Understanding, Appreciation?
Did this love understand the reason,
causing the huge mutation?!

A Woman Alone on the Road

It’s a risk and a bother
in this world that’s still male
when around each bend my lie
ambushed of encounters
and the streets fix her
with cold stares.
This woman alone on the road.
Her only defence
is the defencelessness.

She hasn’t made from any man
a clutch, or wayside shelter.
She never walked over a man
as if he were a bridge.
She went off alone
to meet him as an equal
and to love him truly.

Whether she’ll go far
or falter in the mind
or be blinded by horizons
she doesn’t know. She’s stubborn.
Even if rebuked along the way
her setting out itself
is accomplishment enough.
A woman alone on the road.
And yet she goes on
and does not stop.

No woman can be as lonesome
as a woman on her own.
Before her darkness
drops down a locked door.
A woman alone on the road
ought not go out at night.
The dawn sun, like a turnkey
will unlock her horizons.

Still she goes on
even in the darkness
not glancing about her faith
in the Dark Man
with whom she’s been threatened
for a long time.
Her steps echo on the paving
and stub against a stone.
A woman alone on the road:
quiet brave steps over a sad earth,
an earth which, against the stars,
is a woman alone on the road.

Life of a Stranger

You said I don’t exist in your life. What if each of these lives are designed to teach you a lesson so you have the tools to save yourself when you’re alone?

кога обходи целий мир;
тя бе неизчерпаем вир;

Но винаги духът народен;

заспал в глубока тъмнина;

Things Don’t Have Significance… They Only Have Existence

When I say I love you, I mean I want you to be happy. I do not know where and when the beginning started, but if it does exist, then I hope there is no end. Have you asked me “Why”?

Because when you love, there is “but”, “if” or “when”.
I say this to you now: “I love you, with no beginning, no end.”

“You know I love you, right?”, he teased.

“Do I dream …or at last it is my turn to tell you: I love you more”, I said seriously. “I won’t lie to you.  I think you could be the great love of my life.”

“If you could have had me, could you have let me go?”, I said.

“I could hold you.”, he said seriously.

“For when I was with you, I was the best I could be.”, I said. “I would rather live alone than enjoy comfort and luxury with someone else.”

I never realized how much you meant to me until…
